On March 11, over 4,000 chili lovers will gather at the MSOE Kern Center to sample chili from over 50 Milwaukee restaurants, cafes and caterers.

WMSE’s 16th Annual Rockabilly Chili Fundraiser will pit over 50 batches of the city’s best chili against each other to be judged by the event attendees. Awards will be given to winners in five categories: best meat, best vegetarian, most unique chili, best heat and beat vendor display/presentation.

Milwaukee’s firemen will also compete for best Firehouse Chili. The event will feature chili pepper races inspired by the Milwaukee Brewers’ sausage races.

Milwaukee Brewing Company, the fundraiser’s sponsor, will supply craft beer for the evening and Milwaukee Surf-Rockabilly band The Exotics will set the mood.

Advance tickets are $12 and can be purchased here. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $15. Admission includes four chili samples. Tickets for additional chili samples can be purchased for $1 each. Bring two or more non-perishable food items and donate them to the Hunger Task Force to receive two additional sample tickets.

All proceeds from the Rockabilly Chili Fundraiser will go towards supporting WMSE. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The MSOE Kern Center is located at 1245 N. Broadway, Milwaukee.
