Grammy-nominated progressive bluegrass group The Infamous Stringdusters has been called a “model of a major modern bluegrass band,” blurring the boundaries of bluegrass by incorporating other genres. The group released its most recent studio album Laws Of Gravity in 2017, then followed it up later that year with a live album, Laws Of Gravity: LIVE!.

BON IVER

To celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Wisconsin band Bon Iver’s debut album — For Emma, Forever Ago — the indie rock group puts on a one-of-a-kind show that “salutes the songs that introduced Bon Iver to the world.” Special guests for the evening include Field Report and Collections of Colonies of Bees.

BANDITOS

Formed in 2010 in Birmingham, Alabama, Banditos toured the United States for four years before signing with Bloodshot Records and releasing a self-titled debut album in 2015. The band’s music features honky-tonk, country, soul, psychedelic and garage-rock influences, with “backwoods bluegrass, slinky nods to Muscle Shoals soul, and unexpected bits of doo-wop sweetness.”

STEVE WINWOOD

Grammy-winning musician Steve Winwood was a member of The Spencer Davis Group, Traffic and Blind Faith (with Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker), as well as a successful solo artist with hits such as “While You See a Chance,” “Higher Love” and “Back in the High Life Again.” Winwood was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Traffic in 2004, and Rolling Stone ranked him No. 33 in its “100 Greatest Singers of All Time” in 2008. 

SISTASTRINGS

SistaStrings is a Milwaukee-based duo of sisters “using their gifts of music to create social change.” Both members are classically trained instrumentalists. The pair has opened for gospel artists Witness, Virtue and Fred Hammond, and credits their background in gospel music for allowing them to “cultivate improvisation skills and use their instruments as their voice.”

JOE SATRIANI’S G3 2018

7 p.m. Feb. 25 at The Riverside Theater in Milwaukee; $35–$65; pabsttheater.org

World-renowned guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani revives his G3 tour entity, inviting Dream Theater’s John Petrucci and Def Leppard lead guitarist Phil Collen to join him. Satriani has toured the world as both a headliner and as founder of the all-star G3 guitar extravaganza for two decades. He just released his 16th solo album, What Happens Next, in January.
