Woyzeck is one of the most performed plays in European theater, but it’s rarely produced here. Theatre Gigante picks up the slack with a production in the company’s Kenilworth studio, presenting the early-19th-century expressionist drama about a soldier abused by his superiors, betrayed by his love and treated like a human science experiment. Gigante will complement the work with the music of Tom Waits and Kathleen Brennan, performed by Parisian singer Christine Zufferey and one-man-band Frank Pahl.
