Chicago Pride Parade to be live streamed on Web

Gay Chicago TV and chicago.gopride.com will live stream the 43rd Annual Chicago Pride Parade on Sun., June 24.

“We’re proud to be the first to broadcast the parade from start to finish,” said Gay Chicago TV’s Jhonmar Castillo. “With the addition of live coverage on the Internet more people will have the opportunity to see one of the nation’s largest and oldest pride celebrations.”

Castillo promises a front-row seat to the parade, which steps off at noon from the corner of Broadway and Montrose in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood.  The parade includes 196 entries and is expected to draw nearly 800,000 spectators.

TJ Chernick and Sam Provenzano from Gay Chicago TV will be joined by ChicagoPride.com’s Bill Pritchard to provide commentary. Viewers will have an opportunity to submit questions or comments via Twitter using hashtag #chipridelive.

The live stream will be simulcast in HD quality picture at www.gaychicagotv.com and chicago.gopride.com. Coverage will also be available for later viewing.
