On April 14th, the Milwaukee Winters Farmers Market will be finishing up its ninth season in the Greenhouse Annex at the Mitchell Park Conservatory.

The Milwaukee County Parks, who manages the domes, will be using the Greenhouse Annex as an event space after the current season of the farmer’s market ends. The space will be used for rentals such as weddings and accommodating the expansion of existing Domes events.

Since the Greenhouse Annex will no longer be available, MWFM will have to seek out a new venue. This marks the end of five consecutive years of collaboration between the MWFM and the Domes.

The farmer’s market will continue under the management of the Fondy Food Center.

The MWFM and Fondy Food Center have remained committed to enabling access to locally sourced food from over 50 local farmers and food producers.

The MWFM was created nine years ago when the Wisconsin Apple Growers Association sponsored the initial development and secured a location at the Tommy Thompson Youth Center.
