The Milwaukee Gay Volleyball Association’s (MGVA) upcoming Fall/Winter season begins Nov. 5. and runs through early February. Registration is open through Oct. 20, and is first-come, first-served. MGVA is a safe place for people of all backgrounds, gender and gender expression, and sexual orientation. Everyone is welcome.

Games take place on Sunday evenings — with breaks for holidays — from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Teams play one-hour matches indoors at Beulah Brinton Community Center, 2555 S. Bay St. in Bay View. There are divisions for athletes who want to play more competitively, as well as moderately competitive and fun/recreational divisions.

The cost for the 11-week session is $45 per player (or $35 with a current student ID). Teams of six or more may pay a team fee of $250. Registration fees are due on or before Oct. 31. Teams will not be allowed to play until the team fee is paid.

Registration can be completed online, by mail or in person at a registration event, which take place Oct. 4, 11 and 18 from 7:15 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at MGVA Wednesday Night Open Plays, Beulah Brinton Community Center, 2555 S. Bay St.; and Oct. 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Milwaukee Gay Sports Network Sports Expo, DIX, 739 S. 1st St.

The online form can be found at milwaukeegayvolleyball.com/register. The MGVA mailing address is MGVA, P.O. Box 817, Milwaukee, WI 53201.

The league also holds weekly Open Play throughout the year so current members can practice and new people who are interested in joining in the future can meet.
