Jean's Jazz

The Racine Theatre Guild announced another year of live music for the 17th season of Jean’s Jazz at the Racine Theatre Guild. The four-part series kick-off on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at 7 p.m. with Amy and the Rum Boogie Band and Christopher’s Project.

Created in 2001 by Joe Mooney, Jean’s Jazz is an annual fundraiser for the Racine Theatre Guild in memory of Joe’s wife, Jean, a jazz enthusiast and dedicated volunteer at the Guild.

“Jean’s Jazz Series uses art to support art,” Mooney said. “It’s our passion.”

Jean’s Jazz events feature complimentary treats at intermission, a cash bar, and concessions. Singers and musicians will also be on hand to talk, pose for pictures, and sign autographs after each performance.

Season tickets are available through Jan. 6 for all four dates at $56 for adults, $50 for seniors (62+), and $15 for students (21 & under). Individual tickets can also be purchased at $18 for adults, $16 for seniors, and $5 for students.

Tickets are available at the Racine Theatre Guild, 2519 Northwestern Ave.; by phone at 262-633-4218; online at racinetheatre.org; or at the box office, weekdays from 12 to 6 p.m. and 90 minutes prior to each performance.

Founded in 1938, the Racine Theatre Guild (RTG) is a nonprofit community, volunteer-based theatre. Through the efforts of volunteers led by a small professional staff, RTG is celebrating 80 years of providing a variety of live entertainment and educational opportunities for all ages.
