2017 AIDS Ride Wisconsin schedule announced

AIDS Ride Wisconsin is an all-inclusive, fully-supported ride through southern Wisconsin that raises funds for the fight against AIDS. Now entering its 15th year, AIDS Ride Wisconsin participants and volunteers have raised more than $3.4 million for HIV prevention, care and treatment services in Wisconsin.

The ride takes place this weekend, July 28 to July 30, beginning in Madison, going to Milwaukee, and ending in Stoughton. Riders can choose from short routes, one-day, weekend ride, or three-day options.

Schedule of AIDS Ride Wisconsin events

Day One, Friday, July 28

Opening Ceremonies at 7 a.m., Lake Farm Park, 3113 Libby Rd. in Madison.

Riders depart Lake Farm Park Shelter #2 and head to first stop at East Koshkonong Church; then take a quick break at Cam-Rock Park Area #2; then head over to River Front Park in Jefferson; other stops include Bakertown Rd. and Cty P; Halfway Park, Sullivan; Ottawa Town Park; and Wales Community Park, North Shelter before settling at Carroll University for the night.

Day Two, Saturday, July 29

Century Day: riders have the option to ride 100, 50 or 25 miles. Riders will depart from Carroll University, travelling to Fox River Park; then to Heather Ridge Park; Greenfield Park; Juneau Park; River Park; Brown Deer Park; Mequon Community Park; Zeunert Park; other stops include Friedenfeld Park; Lannon Village Park; Redeemer UCC, Pewaukee; Minooka Park; Vernon Wildlife Area; and return to Carroll University for the night.

Day Three, Sunday, July 30

Riders depart from Carroll University for the final time, head to Cushing Park; Concord Park; Rock River Park; West Side Park; Utica Field; East Side Park; then lunch and Closing Ceremonies at Lake Kegonsa State Park, 2405 Door Creek Rd. in Stoughton at 2:30 p.m.
