In worthless attempts to mimic depression in humans, experimenters electroshock small animals, hang them by their tails, force them to swim to keep from drowning, and place small mice in cages with aggressive, dominant ones so that the smaller animals are attacked repeatedly. The National Institute of Mental Health continues to use millions of taxpayer dollars to torment animals with these cruel and ineffective tests, which tell us nothing about human illnesses.

Animal experimentation is cruel and irrelevant. It should be ended immediately.
