Detenzione, SUPER THIEF, Beggar

Sept. 20, free, 10 p.m., High Dive • highdivemke.com

Milwaukee hardcore outfit Detenzione has been busy this year. After returning from a tour in Japan alongside party-rock group Rio Turbo, the band released its second collection of recorded music, Vol. II. In hardcore fashion, the songs are straight-forward, heavy-hitting numbers that barely make it past the 1-minute mark. Also performing is SUPER THIEF, a noise-punk band from Texas that has released a new album, eating alone in my car. Rounding out the lineup is Milwaukee hardcore band Beggar. This night will be loud, fast and heavy.
