Sales strong, but slower for James Comey’s book
James Comey’s A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership remains a popular book. But the pace of sales has slowed.
The former FBI director’s highly anticipated memoir sold more than 86,000 copies last week, according to NPD BookScan, which tracks about 85 percent of physical book sales.
NPD recorded more than 300,000 sales for the book’s opening week.
Publisher Flatiron Books has said total sales through the first week topped 600,000. Flatiron’s number included e-books and audiobooks.
A Higher Loyalty ranked No. 3 last week on NPD BookScan.
The top seller was Joanna Gaines’ cookbook, Magnolia Table, followed by the parody work Last Week Tonight with John Oliver presents a Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo.
