GREAT EVENT, GREAT LAKES: The fourth annual We are Water takes place at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 6 at the north end of Bradford Beach in Milwaukee. SPECIAL DINNER INVITATION: The Greater Milwaukee Foundation and community partners in July launched On the Table, an effort to rally people and organizations across the community to generate ideas and ignite action for the benefit of the region and its future. GMF invites everyone in the region to place their ideas and priorities “On the Table” Oct. 17. CHEERS & CAUSES: Drinking Liberally meets the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at Riverwest Public House Co-op, 815 E. Locust St., Milwaukee, to promote progressive causes and create community. The West Allis chapter meets at 6:30 p.m. the second Thursday at Studz Pub Sports Bar and Grill, 6833 W. National Ave. The Wauwatosa group meets the third Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Cranky Al’s, 6901 W. North Ave. And the Glendale group meets the last Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Bar Louie, 5750 N. Bayshore Drive.

FORMERLY KNOWN AS: The Wisconsin Council on Children and Families in July announced a new name — Kids Forward — and a new slogan: “Every Kid. Every Family.
