Award-winning artist Katy Perry has maintained an extremely successful career since her first big hit “I Kissed a Girl” in 2008. She has performed at Rock in Rio, on Saturday Night Live and at the Super Bowl XLIX halftime show, just to name a few. Perry’s WITNESS: The Tour has been called “a musical journey through Katy Perry’s biggest milestones and mega-hits right up to her latest album.”

MELISSA ETHERIDGE: MERRY CHRISTMAS, BABY

Academy Award and Grammy-winner Melissa Etheridge is known for her mixture of “confessional lyrics, pop-based folk-rock, and raspy, smoky vocals.” For this special holiday show, Etheridge performs songs from her 2008 holiday album A New Thought For Christmas, including fan favorites and holiday classics.

ZAPPAFEST

Zappafest is an annual Milwaukee tradition since 1999 and makes its return again this year to where it started — Shank Hall. Local bands, including Dr. Chow’s Love Medicine and Gozortenplat, will fill the evening with Frank Zappa’s compositions. Zappa had a strong fan base in Milwaukee and this fest always features an appreciative crowd.

STEEL PANTHER

With big spiky wigs, zebra-striped spandex, chops earned from playing in a Van Halen tribute band, and lots of machismo, Los Angeles’ Steel Panther provides a comic take on “sex, drugs and rock and roll.” Featuring profane and humorous lyrics, as well as onstage personae that parody the stereotypical ’80s glam-metal lifestyle, the group headlines 102.9 The Hog’s Not So Silent Night.

Singer-songwriter Jewel has earned four Grammy Award nominations and sold more than 30 million albums worldwide throughout her career, even being called “one of the best singer songwriters since Joni Mitchell” by The New York Times. Jewel’s Handmade Holiday Tour features special guests Atz and Atz Lee from the Discovery Channel series Alaska: The Last Frontier, Nikos Kilcher and pre-show artisan craft and gift making.

SHONN HINTON & SHOTGUN

Milwaukee’s Shonn Hinton & Shotgun features “hard-hitting drumming that’s rooted in rock, bass playing that provokes the feeling of Detroit soul, sweet twang, with dirty guitar playing and singing that puts you in the mind frame of a Baptist preacher.” The group released its debut album Long Live Shotgun in 2016. Hinton has been performing on the Milwaukee scene for more than a decade.
