The Southeastern Wisconsin Invasive Species Consortium, a coalition promoting efficient and effective management of invasive species throughout counties in southeastern Wisconsin, will host a forum for green industry and land management professionals. The forum, “Where Ecology Meets Economy: Season 4,” takes place Sept. 21 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Johnson’s Nursery, W180 N6275 Marcy Road in Menomonee Falls.
The forum provides an opportunity to network with land managers, growers, arborists, landscape architects and other professionals. The event will feature presentations, panel discussions, and guided tours discussing ways the green industry and land managers can benefit each other. The forum’s topic focuses on protecting native pollinator habitat. Speakers for the event include Elizabeth Meils, Mike Murray, Tim Power and Andy Stahr.
Admission to “Where Ecology Meets Economy: Season 4” costs $60 for early registration until Sept. 12, and then goes up to $70. For more information, including registration, visit sewisc.org.
