‘Art on Tap’ — Early Wisconsin Brewery Art and Advertising

‘Art on Tap’ looks at the history of Wisconsin brewery art and advertising. MOWA’s new exhibit examines iconic images of early American pop culture, such as labels, elaborate signage, and catchy slogans used by early 20th-century brewers to market their beers.

10 a.m. through Sept. 24 at the Museum of Wisconsin Art in West Bend; $12 (includes one-year MOWA membership); wisconsinart.org

Clayton Landgraff of North Dakota then later Sheboygan went all over Wisconsin painting the Miller High Life “rocking moon girl” on silos all over Wisconsin. He was a great artist and i think invented her from a dream he had while serving on a destroyer off the coast of Normandy in a gun turret. He also could imitate animal and bird calls.
