Kristian Matsson, who styles himself The Tallest Man on Earth, has drawn comparisons to Bob Dylan for his folk-inspired music. Although he is from Sweden, his style is drawn from the American singer-songwriter tradition, as was evident in his first solo album, Shallow Grave. In his latest record, Dark Bird is Home, Matsson’s incorporated a full band for the first time, and has made what he claims to be his most personal work yet. Basia Bulat opens.
