This world premiere, part of First Stage’s Wisconsin Cycle play development series, is a Grimmsian tale for the whole family. When an epic snowfall leaves the tiny village of Kishka imprisoned, young Theodore suggests he and six of the bravest and strongest villagers be launched by catapult over the snowdrifts. It’s an idea that throws them into an adventure that’s equal parts whimsical, humorous, dark and mysterious.
Feb. 26 to March 20 at the Marcus Center, Milwaukee. $13 to $33. firststage.org.
