Yes, watermelon-smashing comedian Gallagher is still around, and yes, he’s still smashing those watermelons. But between those hammer-swings, Gallagher is still the innovator who invented the stand-up comedy special, and who was the most popular comedian in the country for more than a decade in his heyday. He’ll appear with Artie Fletcher, once dubbed “New York’s Bad Boy of Comedy.”
