Miró String Quartet
It’s not every day one of the most talented string quartets in the world wanders into town. Over nearly 20 years, the Miró String Quartet has built a reputation as one of the top chamber groups in the United States, and perhaps the world, with their command of the standard repertoire and contemporary masters. Both disciplines will be on display at their Great Masters program at UW-Madison’s Mills Hall, 455 N. Park St., when they perform Haydn’s “The Lark,” Schubert’s “Death and the Maiden” and Glass’ Quartet No. 5. Tickets are $25, $21 for Madison faculty and staff, as well as non-Madison students, and $10 for UW-Madison students with ID. Call 608-265-2787 or visit uniontheater.wisc.edu.
