Lady Gaga to perform in outer space

Lady Gaga will sing one of her hit songs from aboard a Virgin Galatic ship 62 miles above the Earth, becoming the first musician to perform in what is officially designated outer space.

US Weekly reports the event will take place in 2015.

“She has to do a month of vocal training because of the atmosphere,” a source told the magazine, adding that the event will be “like nothing the world has seen before.”

Gaga and her beauty team have booked seats on the Virgin Galactic ship, and Gaga will reportedly sing a song that will be broadcast from space as part of the Zero G Colony tech festival in New Mexico in 2015.

Ashton Kutcher, Justin Bieber and Leonardo DiCaprio have already signed up for the Virgin Galactic program, paying $250,000 to secure their spots.

The first Virgin Galactic flight is set to take place six months before Gaga’s trip. The singer has taken out a “ridiculous life insurance policy” just in case, US Weekly reports.
