A student-run “For the People: A Social Democracy Conference” takes place on April 4 at UW-Stout.
The event begins at noon in the memorial student center, 302 10th Ave., Menomonie.
The event announcement said, “The topic of this conference is participatory democracy – a topic that is central to the political and social situation that is currently present in the United States and around the world.”
Students, educators, activists and lawmakers are expected to attend.
