Between productions of Florentine Opera’s Julius Caesar, by Georg Frideric Handel, Ensemble Musical Offering presents an all-Handel weekend on March 28–30. The Hallmarks of Handel concert is designed to give fans of the timeless German composer the chance to enjoy some of his best-loved chamber music.
The performances feature sopranos Chelsea Morris and Sarah Richardson. Works to be performed include chamber arias later used in Handel’s oratorio Messiah, as well as concertos, the G Major Suite from Water Musick and Sinfonia for Bassoon and Strings.
Hallmarks of Handel is scheduled for 8 p.m. on March 29, at the Cathedral Church of All Saints, 818 E. Juneau Ave., Milwaukee. The performance is preceded by a 7 p.m. lecture and auction. EMO repeats the program in Madison at 2 p.m. on March 30, at the First Unitarian Society, 900 University Bay Drive.
Tickets are available at www.ensemblemusicaloffering.org. or by calling 414-258-6133. Tickets are $25 for those who have tickets for Julius Caesar. Otherwise, ticket prices are $10 for students, $30 in advance and $35 at the door.
