The Kissimmee City Commission in Florida voted four-to-one vote to extend domestic partnership benefits to its LGBT city employees.

City Commissioner Cheryl Grieb led the effort with support from Equality Florida, the statewide LGBT group.

Kissimmee, with its proximity to the Walt Disney World parks, is a major Florida destination.
