The Gay Lesbian and Straight Education Network expanded its No Name-Calling Week program held in late January to include a high school program.
The week, in its seventh year, was created to provide materials for educators to counter bullying and harassment in grades 5-8. But GLSEN, partnering with Stories of Us, expanded the program to high schools.
“Despite being one of the most pervasive forms of bullying, many schools do not adequately address anti-LGBT bullying,” said GLSEN executive director Eliza Byard.
