Formed by two of the four members of legendary punk band Fugazi, The Messthetics is an instrumental three piece that’s aggressive yet enchanting with its progressive punk-rock riffs. The band is on tour in support of its debut self-titled album. For those looking for a little bit of jazz in your punk rock, look no further.
Trixie Mattel

For the first time ever, drag superstar Trixie Mattel is embarking on a solo North American tour in support of his new album Moving Parts. Mattel is a Milwaukee native who began doing drag at age 19, making his first public appearance in a stage performance of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. After a role in the seventh season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, he moved to Los Angeles, where he began to build a fan base across a multitude of media. In 2018, Mattel was the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 3.
Cullah & The Comrades (release show), D’Amato

Cullah & The Comrades are celebrating the release of Cullah’s 12th album Cullahsus. The album’s title is a play on words from a line in Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar: “Why, man he doth bestride the narrow world like a Colossus, and we petty men walk under his huge legs and peep out to find ourselves dishonorable graves.” Cullahsus marks a return to Cullah’s roots of funky beats and storytelling and is the first time that Cullah committed to an album full-time with nothing holding him back.

Yonatan Gat is a New York guitarist and composer who began making a name for himself in Monotonix, a garage-rock band from Israel known for its wild antics during shows that often got the group banned from venues. The band disbanded in 2011, but Gat went on to release several solo albums. His latest album Universalists took three years to create and was mostly recorded live in separate studios with some sessions being improvised. Universalists is the documentation of an artist evolving and experimenting with his sound.

Milwaukee glam-rock band Tigernite is releasing its latest album Sublunary with a party at Linneman’s Riverwest Inn. Fans can preorder the album on the band’s bandcamp site to get a limited-edition purple vinyl version. This marks the first release from the band since their last EP Blood Moon in 2016. Stream the single “Ray Gun Queen,” a catchy, riff-driven track that’s sure to get you excited for the release.
Dogs in Ecstasy (album release), Palberta, Peeper & LePlay

Milwaukee power-pop-punk group Dogs in Ecstasy are releasing their first vinyl titled Dreams and Gripes. The album is being released on Thunderzone, the label of Milwaukee’s favorite punk-rapper Juiceboxxx. The first 50 copies come with a book from the band.
