TV occasionally is interrupted with breaking news reports, but it’s not often that the TV news gets interrupted. Early April 20, an Ontario, Canada, station accidentally aired 3 minutes of gay porn as its morning newscast went off the air.

The station, CHCH, blamed the incident on a botched repair job by a local cable company.

The company apparently inserted the wrong programming after repairing cut cable lines, according to various reports, including one from the Hollywood Reporter and another from the Daily Mail.

“We discovered through quick investigation that it was not (our station), it was one of the cable companies that had patched it,” CHCH vice-president of news Mike Katrycz said.

The Hollywood Reporter described the porn as "hardcore."

About a week ago, a similar incident occurred in Colorado, where an error by Comcast led to the airing of porn during an episode of "Good Morning America."
