Atlanta is the site of a White House LGBT Conference on HIV/AIDS on April 19.

The White House Office of Public Engagement and Office of National AIDS Policy are hosting the program in partnership with the Morehouse School of Medicine.

Participants, according to a press notice from the White House, will receive updates from senior administration officials and learn about federal government resources and opportunities through workshop sessions.

The conference is part of a series being held around the country and specifically focused on LGBT Americans.

The HIV/AIDS conference will begin with a morning plenary followed by afternoon workshops.

The morning session will remarks by Dr. Grant Colfax, director of the White House Office of National AIDS Policy, and Dr. Kevin Fenton of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as nationally recognized experts on HIV/AIDS, including Dr. David Satcher of Morehouse School of Medicine and Dr. David Malebranche of Emory School of Medicine.
