StageQ presents Harvey Fierstein’s ‘Casa Valentina’
StageQ, Inc. presents Harvey Fierstein’s Casa Valentina, which tells the story of an inconspicuous ’60s bungalow colony in the Catskill Mountains that catered to a very special clientele: heterosexual men whose favorite pastime was dressing and acting as women. Directed by Michael Bruno and based on true events, the play explores both the happiness these men felt while safely inhabiting their female alter egos, as well as the conundrums faced when contemplating sharing their secret lives with the world.
