Obama to deliver his last State of the Union address Jan. 12
President Barack Obama will deliver his seventh and final State of the Union address to a joint session of Congress on Jan. 12.
House Speaker Paul Ryan of Wisconsin announced the date on Nov. 30.
The annual presidential update is required by the Constitution. Obama's final address will take place just before early primaries get underway in the campaign to replace him.
